Atlantic Contracting an Irex Company is looking for a Truck Driver/Warehouse Coordinator!

Position Summary:

The Truck Driver/ Warehouse Coordinator position is essential to the organization, making sure that all deliveries to the construction job sites, or pickups and returns of the vendor supplies are performed in a timely and safe manner. This role is responsible for the organization of the warehouse, its inventory control, and the tracking and maintenance of all necessary tools and equipment. Delivery area includes NYC (5) boroughs, Long Island, Hudson Valley, and Connecticut.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety standards and requirements.
  • Delivery to construction job sites as directed.
  • Pickups and returns of vendor-supplied materials.
  • Organization of warehouse, inventory controls, tracking & maintaining of company tools and equipment.
  • Maintaining safety supplies and equipment inventory.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to learn quickly, effective communication, and customer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and have mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organization skills and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be age 21 or older, have reliable transportation, and a minimum of 1 year of driver experience.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma, required.
  • Basic understanding or knowledge of lean manufacturing processes in a warehouse setting.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management.
